Incorporated in 1983, Maui Classic Charters has been one of the pioneers and continues to set the standards, for quality, value, and customer service, in the snorkeling charter industry throughout Hawaii. Although the Four Winds is our signature vessel, we additionally own and operate the Maui Magic (a fast power catamaran that offers additional snorkeling destinations).

Their boats are specifically designed with safety and comfort in mind, and every crew member—including captains—is certified in CPR and First Aid. Many team members have over a decade of experience, making them some of the most skilled and knowledgeable in the harbor.

Be sure to follow these tips!
- It is extremely helpful to have some swimming experience. We will provide you with flotation and will also have crew members available to help assist, but it is important to remain calm. Please keep in mind, our crew is there to attend to all guests during the tour.
- Our crew offers a daily Snorkeling 101 Class.
- Our crew will fit and assist with making sure all your gear fits properly and is comfortable
- Our crew is in the water at all times when snorkeling to help with needs (including equipment, technique, or tips)

with Four Winds
SNUBA®– The Best Way to Breathe Underwater
SNUBA® is an easy, accessible way to explore beneath the surface, combining the freedom of snorkeling with the added depth of diving. Instead of carrying heavy gear, your air supply floats on a raft above you, connected by a hose that lets you move comfortably while breathing continuously. With no certification required, you can explore at your own pace and choose a depth that feels right for you, making it a simple and enjoyable alternative to traditional scuba diving.
Certified SNUBA® Guides
Your adventure starts with a quick, easy briefing, about 15 to 20 minutes, where our expert instructor walks you through everything you need to know. Then it’s time to jump in and experience the fun firsthand. Once you’re in the water, you’ll enjoy 20 to 30 minutes of underwater exploration, giving you the chance to breathe below the surface and stay down longer as you take it all in.
Perfect for anyone curious about diving, SNUBA® lets you experience the magic of the ocean in a whole new way. Wetsuits are available for added comfort, so you can stay warm and focused on the adventure.
You’ll be in great hands with our certified Dive Master instructors, who bring years of experience and a genuine passion for what they do, making your time in the water safe, smooth, and unforgettable.
Nearly everybody can SNUBA®!
SNUBA® is a safe and easy activity led by a certified SNUBA® guide throughout your entire tour. It’s accessible to most people, including children aged 8 and older, and offers a unique alternative to traditional scuba diving.
Participants should have strong swimming skills, and prior snorkeling experience is helpful. Some medical conditions may prevent participation, so be sure to discuss any concerns with your SNUBA® instructor beforehand.

- Do you have a history of heart attacks, strokes or heart disease?

- Are you currently under the influence of mind-altering drugs or alcohol?
- Do you have any form of lung disease?
- Do you have epilepsy, seizures or convulsions or take medications to prevent them?

The Four Winds is located at Slip #80. Even Slips are located on the jetty (the far ocean side of the harbor). Ma’alaea Harbor offers metered parking (You must scan their QR code to pay at the harbor)
Caution Using Your GPS
Because navigation to a boat dock is not always accurate, please USE WITH CAUTION. Make sure the address and directions are to Maalaea Harbor and NOT our office in Kihei. Use the address below which will navigate you to Maalaea Harbor entrance. Or you can also scan the QR code (on the map).

From Lahaina, Kaanapali or Kapalua (West Side)
Take HWY 30 south. You will travel along the coast for a while and eventually come to Maui’s only tunnel. About three (3) miles after the tunnel, there will be a green highway sign reading “U.S. Coast Guard Station”. Turn right at the sign and drive down towards the harbor. Stay on your right-hand side and drive onto the jetty. The Four Winds is in Slip #80, located on the ocean side, at the very end just before the brown Ferry Terminal Building.
From Kihei, Wailea, or Makena
Take South Kihei Road, which will end at a “T” lighted intersection. Turn left onto North Kihei Road (HWY 310). Continue on this road until you see a traffic light, then turn left onto HWY 30 (towards Maalaea and Lahaina). Take the next left at the stoplight onto Kapoli Street, by Maui Ocean Center. Take Kapoli Street down to the stop sign and turn right onto Maalaea Harbor Road. Drive into the Harbor, and bear left onto the jetty. The Four Winds Slip #80 is located on the ocean side at the very end, next to the brown Ferry Terminal Building.
From Kahului
Take HWY 380 west to HWY 30. At the 2nd stoplight (where HWY 380 ends) turn left onto HWY 30. Follow the signs to Maalaea. Turn left at the stoplight onto Kapoli Street by Maui Ocean Center. Take Kapoli Street down to the stop sign and turn right onto Maalaea Harbor Road. Drive into the Harbor, and bear left onto the jetty. The Four Winds Slip #80 is located on the ocean side at the very end, next to the brown Ferry Terminal Building.
