LOCATION
The British Virgin Islands are probably not the first destination that comes to mind when you think “Caribbean”, but the diverse archipelago of Islands make the BVI extraordinarily unique. From the volcanic islands to the flat coral and limestone island of Anegada, beauty abounds both above and below the water.
Like most Caribbean islands, the BVIs are full of sun, sand and sea. The BVIs are comprised of 60 islands, each with its own unique personality and topography. BVI SNUBA is based at Leverick Bay resort and Marina and on the Island of Virgin Gorda, known as the gateway to what many call the “Billionaire Playground”.
Virgin Gorda
The island of Virgin Gorda is stunningly beautiful. if you’re looking for a ‘must-do’ activity outside of SNUBA®, The Baths are a perfect place to start. A short walk through its gigantic boulders will take your breath away. An easy hike to the top of the island with give you a 360 degree perspective of the entire chain of islands. A boat tour of the other islands including Cooper, Normal, Jost is also highly recommended. BVI SNUBA also provides bespoke snorkeling trips with SNUBA® Guide, Elaine, where guests can learn the history and fun facts of the island.
WHAT IS SNUBA?
SNUBA® is an amazing underwater adventure for couples, families, children, and seniors. SNUBA® allows you to explore a three-dimensional world you just can’t experience while snorkeling. Swim alongside turtles and fish along the brightly colored coral reef. Breathe through a simple-to-use regulator while your air supply floats on a comforting support raft at the surface.
Learning to SNUBA® is easy and doesn’t require any Scuba diving certification or previous experience; if you can breathe, look, and kick your legs, you can SNUBA®! Enjoy SNUBA at any depth – 2 feet, 10 feet, or 20 feet. SNUBA® is meant to be experienced at each individual’s level of comfort. And the best part? A certified, highly trained, passionate SNUBA® guide will be with you throughout your entire tour!

Participate in a 15 minute safety briefing and learn all about using the SNUBA® equipment and what to expect during your guided experience.

A trained SNUBA® Guide will get you all geared up for your SNUBA tour with your mask and fins (the same used for snorkeling) and a weight belt.

BVI SNUBA
What makes BVI SNUBA unique…
BVI SNUBA is the only SNUBA® operator in the British Virgin Islands and excels at giving guests a unique, personalized SNUBA® adventure. BVI SNUBA can take up to four guests in the water at once. BVI SNUBA also offers SNUBA® DUO, specially designed for two guests. SNUBA® DUO provides each guest with their own SNUBA® raft and includes up to an hour of underwater exploration.
Elaine Couper
SNUBA® Guide, Elaine Couper, has lived on Virgin Gorda for over 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge above and below the waters. A SNUBA® recreational Programmed Coordinator and PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer with over 30 years of experience, she was also one of the Submarine Pilots for Sir Richard Branson, Necker Nymph Submarine; Elaine loved taking guests out and introducing them to the fabulous underwater world. BVI SNUBA was initially supposed to open in October 2017, but Hurricane Irma in Sept 2017 postponed opening till late Dec 2017, and they’ve been operational ever since, apart from when COVID paid the world a visit…
