MEET THE EXPANSIVE TRILOGY EXCURSIONS FLEET
Trilogy Excursions keeps things intentionally “tight” with a fleet of six custom-built sailing catamarans (Trilogy I–VI), all designed specifically for Maui conditions. With boats carrying about 36 to 60 guests and roughly 350 total across the fleet, Trilogy leans firmly into a premium, small-group experience rather than high-volume tourism.
The mix is smart: Two larger 64-foot flagships (I & II), two 54-foot boats (V & VI), and two slightly smaller 50–51-foot vessels (III & IV). No matter the size, the experience is consistent across the board: Sailing-first design, eco-friendly touches, shaded seating, open net decks, onboard galleys, and a solid 3–4-person crew on each trip to keep things personal and dialed in.

“Here at Trilogy, our goal is to make your Trilogy Adventure in Paradise both educational and entertaining, but above all, we are committed to making your day with us the safest day of your vacation! All our vessels are USCG (United States Coast Guard) certified and ocean tested sailing catamarans that we designed and/or built ourselves specifically with you in mind. Your safety and comfort were critical considerations in the design and building process.
Every vessel, as well as all our land-based operations, carries emergency oxygen and AEDs. In addition, our captains and crew maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and adhere to USCG regulations. Also, all vessels carry slicker gear for each passenger in case the wind and seas kick up during a passage. If you can keep dry here in the tropics, you will usually stay warm and comfortable as well. Mind, and every crew member is certified in CPR and First Aid. Many team members have over a decade of experience, making them some of the most skilled and knowledgeable in the harbor.”

WHAT IS SNUBA®?
You may have heard of SNUBA® before but weren’t quite sure how it compares to snorkeling or SCUBA diving. Think of it as the best of both worlds. It blends the simplicity of snorkeling with the deeper access of SCUBA diving, so you can dive more deeply below the surface (up to 10ft) without dealing with bulky gear.
Whether you’ve spent years snorkeling or you’re just getting comfortable in the water, SNUBA® is one of the simplest and safest ways to explore the magic of Maui’s underwater world.
You’ll get to experience some of Maui’s most stunning marine environments, from the crystal-clear waters of Molokini Crater to the rich ecosystem at Hulopo’e Marine Preserve on Lana‘i. And because SNUBA® doesn’t require the same level of equipment or training as traditional diving, it’s easy to enjoy while still keeping your plans flexible for the rest of your trip.

If I’ve never snorkeled before, can I SNUBA®?
Technically, yes, although without having snorkeled at least once before there’s no guarantee of how comfortable you’ll be. There are plenty of people who successfully SNUBA® dive without having snorkeled before, but there are also others who are uncomfortable with the feeling of needing to breathe through their mouth. As a test, pinch your nose and breathe through your mouth for a whole minute. If you can do this comfortably, it’s the first step in determining if you can go SNUBA® diving in Maui.
What is the minimum age for SNUBA®?
Kids aged 8 and up can enjoy SNUBA®, making it a family-friendly activity.
Are there medical requirements for SNUBA®?
There are some, but they’re far more lenient than those for SCUBA diving. Your Trilogy guide will ensure you’re ready.
What is the maximum depth in SNUBA®?
The maximum depth in SNUBA® is 10 feet, just enough to marvel at Maui’s underwater wonders without the need for SCUBA certification.
What do I wear when SNUBA® diving?
You’ll wear a mask, fins, and a lightweight harness connected to a raft on the surface, keeping it easy to surface whenever you need.
How long does a SNUBA® dive last?
The length of a SNUBA® dive will be different for every person, but on average, dives last 20-25 minutes. The more relaxed you are, and the slower you breathe, the longer your dive will last.
Do I wear a tank on my back?
No. The scuba tank rests inside of the SNUBA® raft to which you’re tethered, and as you swim, the raft follows you above on the surface.
