Are you ready to reach your potential as a diver? Tilden is the best place to start. Tilden’s supports training from PADI, NAUI, and SSI, and can complete courses from other agencies through the Universal Referral System. Tilden’s prioritizes quality dive instruction by maintaining low student-to-instructor ratios and offering in-person lectures for a more traditional learning experience. Whether you start your training locally or at home, Tilden’s is committed to helping you become the best diver possible.
DIVE TRIPS
Two daily reef trips are offered that depart at 8 am and 1 pm, each lasting up to 4 hours, and two locations are visited for an hour each. Most dives are unguided for certified divers unless a private guide is booked. Special requests (sanctuary, wreck, night dives, or fishing) should be made during the reservation.
DAILY REEF TRIPS
Our daily dive trips explore over 30 unique sites, including the beautiful Sombrero Reef and Coffin’s Patch Sanctuaries. Let us know where you’ve already been, and we’ll make sure to take you somewhere new. With a maximum of 12 divers per boat, you’ll never feel lost in the crowd.
These vibrant reefs are home to more than 1,200 marine species—perfect for capturing unforgettable photos, making lasting memories, or even bringing home dinner. We offer dive sites both inside and outside the designated “no-take” sanctuary zones.
WRECK DIVES
The Thunderbolt Wreck in Marathon is an ideal guided wreck dive site, resting upright at 120 feet since its sinking in 1986. The 188-foot-long ship is intact, except for its missing engine. Divers must be at least 15 years old and have prior deep dive experience, though advanced certification is not required. The main area of interest is the deck at around 105 feet, rich with marine life. Advance request is needed due to extra preparation required.
NIGHT DIVES
Night diving isn’t just thrilling—it’s full of life!
During the long summer days, we typically offer two-tank night dives. First, we do a dusk dive, followed by a surface interval at sunset. Then, we dive again as night fully sets in. This gives you the unique chance to experience the reef in both daylight and darkness for a fascinating contrast. As the days grow shorter and cooler, we switch to a single, extended night dive. Please book in advance so we can meet our trip minimums and ensure the dive goes ahead.
SNUBA® WITH TILDEN’S SCUBA CENTER
SNUBA® is the safest and easiest way to experience the underwater beauty surround the Keys.
SNUBA® Recreational Centers have been introducing people to underwater exploration since 1988, offering a guided experience that doesn’t require scuba certification or heavy tanks. Their patented SNUBA® system is especially popular with families and non-divers, making it easy and accessible to explore the tropical underwater world.
The ocean’s “Life Zone” is located within the first 30 feet (10 meters) of water, where you’ll encounter the most vibrant colors, fish, coral, and extended bottom time. SNUBA® keeps you right in the heart of this “Life Zone” with a maximum depth of 20 feet (6.5 meters). Before reaching the dive site, you’ll receive a detailed orientation, and your SNUBA® guide will lead you on a safe, enjoyable underwater tour, ensuring you feel comfortable throughout the experience.

Our 46-foot Newton is designed for both comfort and speed, ensuring a smooth journey. We provide efficient transportation for groups of divers, SNUBA enthusiasts, and snorkelers. With twice-daily trips, we visit two different locations, spending an hour at each reef. THUNDERBOLT WRECK DIVE
This wreck was intentionally sunk in 1986 to create an exciting dive site for underwater enthusiasts. With its rich history and impressive structure, it’s a fantastic site to explore. We guide this dive, so no advanced certification is required—as long as you’re at least 15 years old. However, if you’re interested in advancing your certification, the Thunderbolt is often used as the deep dive required for the course.
SNUBA® WITH DIVE ISLA BELLA
SNUBA® IS THE EASIEST WAY TO BREATH UNDERWATER
Always wanted to try scuba diving but short on time? SNUBA is the perfect solution! After a brief orientation with one of our certified SNUBA® instructors, you’ll experience the thrill of breathing underwater. There is no prior experience needed. SNUBA® is open to anyone aged 8 and up. There’s no need to buy gear, take classes, or haul heavy scuba tanks. Just dive in and enjoy!
TWO BEAUTIFUL REEF LOCATIONS
All of our SNUBA® trips include visits to two stunning reef locations. You can choose to SNUBA® at both sites or mix it up by snorkeling at one and SNUBA® diving at the other. At Dive Isla Bella, we keep our groups small and personal—never more than four participants per SNUBA® instructor—exceeding industry standards to ensure you get the attention and experience you deserve.
SNUBA® REQUIREMENTS
Dive deeper into adventure with SNUBA®! Complete a health questionnaire and book your spot early—space and instructors are limited. We recommend booking early in your trip to ensure flexibility in case tropical breezes cause delays.
